This latest batch of Labradorite Pendants shows the characteristic color variation of this wonderful gemstone material.
Each one-of-a-kind pendant has it's own unique tones and variations, and looks different depending on the lighting conditions. Sometimes you will see a lot of color, usually when outside, others times the flash is more subtle and muted.
The sterling silver frames are all hand fabricated, and the design on the reverse is meant to follow the color variation on the stone. Each concept is based on the emotional resonance of the stones, the pattern cut on the reverse side inspired by the flow of color flash and texture.
Each pendant also has fabricated details at the top of the mounting, which reflect the openwork backs. These small details add extra depth, texture and meaning to every piece.
The bails, where the chain goes through, are hand twisted wire soldered to a pair of underlying wires to form a thicker, secure loop to hand the pendant form the chain.
Chains are sold separately, and you can go here to look at them.
