This two sided Labradorite pendant can be worn with the stone facing out, or the carving facing out.
This substantial and beautifully patterned moon shaped stone has lovely striations and marking on the front. On the reverse, the suggested branches of the patterns are emphasized by a large tree limb.
Perched at rest in the sheltering tree is an Owl, whose calm demeanor is meant to help remind one of duality. On the one hand, the Owl can symbolize active will and effort, the seeking and attainment of goals. On the other hand, it's daylight drowsing and absolute quiet when resting help us remember that we need to take time to recharge our spirits.
Around the entire edge of the bezel is a nigh time scene, where Owl is flying through the hills and trees, the active principle of seeking sustenance out in the wide world. The stars emphasis Owl's nocturnal journeys, while the Moon Phases on the inner edge of the pendant help to remind us of the cycles of time, and the recurring pattern of supporting ourselves through our endeavors.
The pendant measures 1 & 1/4" long by 2" wide, from moon tips to outside curve, by 5/16" thick, not including the jump ring bail where the chain goes through.
