The Peace Heart Charm is based on the well recognized Peace Symbol which started in England in the 50's. Originally designed to represent a group which called for nuclear disarmament, the symbol went on to represent the idea of peace against all oppression and tyranny.
In this charm, the Peace Symbol uses the roots and branches of a tree to create a heart shape crowned by leaves. This combines the idea of peace and love in one image.
The tree symbolizes longevity and a life long effort towards universal harmony. Trees remind us of our connection to the earth, which helps ground us in the idea of peacefulness at home and in the wider world.
