This large piece is a secret locket. Open the wing to reveal a powerful nature scene. It is offered as a pin, or a pendant, although usually only one or the other is in stock.

Inside the wing itself there is a rising sun with large rays and solar prominences flaring over wheat fields. In the body of the Raven there is a Tree of Life by a winding River, with Mountains in the distance. The Moon and Stars watch over the landscape.

The imagery inside this locket is meant to remind you of the cycles of life. It is also a way to honor the power of Nature and the tremendous, yet subtle, influence our earthly surroundings have on spiritual growth.

The form of this great Raven looking over its shoulder has deep carving with a vibrant feather pattern. It is very oxidized to mimic the dark plumage of the corvid species.

Raven's midnight black color often associates it with the dark aspects of life, but the Raven has very important symbolism for our current time.

When Raven appears to you, either in a real life encounter or a dream, it’s most likely that something is about to transform your life. Whether positive or negative, total transformation is usually dramatic. Raven spirit can help guide you towards understanding and harmony.

Raven has been called a master of time. It is a reminder to be in the right space at the right moment, and encourages change and movement in your life.

The ancient Greeks trusted in Raven to carry messages from the Divine, particularly Apollo, the god of the Sun. This means that while Raven spirit is tied closely to the night, it also has strong solar qualities.

Working with Raven is a way of boosting your powers of observation and bringing anything that lingers in the shadows into a healthy light.

Ravens have a very distinctive voice and a vast vocabulary. They are among the smartest birds in nature, and represent communication skills while speaking with others. Raven reminds us to stay true to our own voice.

Ravens are solitary and independent, but also depend on the flock for safety and community. Ravens help each other find food, look out for predators, and rear their young.

In the sunlight the color of Raven isn’t simply black, but appears to transform into various shades of blue. Blue is a color of subtle mystery, and its many hues in the Raven's feathers remind us of hidden possibilities.

Raven can also mimic the sounds of other birds. This means that those interested in empathy can use this skill to help with deeper understanding of what it is like to be in another's place.

From Druids to Native Americans, Ravens have been a powerful totem. Some Native American tribes call the Raven a ‘secret keeper’. When you have a Raven spirit animal it reminds you to hold confidences carefully and guard against misinformation.

The Raven was a Spirit Totem for the ancient Celtic priests and priestesses. These shamans kept raven energy close to them, using its power for visionary quests. People walking the path of the Mysteries can use the assistance of Raven Spirit. Its wisdom gives support and insight to those who face the challenges of following this path.

This is a larger piece measuring approximately 2.5" wide by 2" tall. It has a hand fabricated lock on the Raven's wing.

The pin has a hand fabricated catch for the pin stem on the reverse, and the pendant has two large loops suitable for either leather (shown) or a nice weight chain
